Having been around for nearly three decades, SMS communication has been the heartbeat for messaging communication. Due to its ubiquity, SMS is still heavily reliant today and will remain a vital part of enterprise communications for some time to come. However, its status as a non-encrypted application means that there are weaknesses for fraudsters to exploit.
This panel will be highlighting some of these gaps, including authentication and verification standards, and the role mobile operators are continuing to play to strengthen security, including SMS firewalls to detect grey route traffic.
